What is low self esteem?

Self-esteem is the value one places on their self worth. Someone with healthy self-esteem will be aware of their strengths and also their perceived flaws.

However someone with low self-esteem will automatically navigate towards a negative view of themselves.

They will tell themselves:  'I am not good enough', 'I am unlovable' or 'I am stupid.'

This negative view can have a huge impact on how that person gets through life.

Low self-esteem is treatable. CBT helps you learn practical tools to challenge negative thinking and develop lasting confidence. As someone who has suffered from low self-esteem, I understand the pain that this can cause. i have helped people change their belief about themselves. The transformation by the end of therapy can be remarkable.
